Bentley announces Beyond100+ strategic plan to 2035 – creates first ever Luxury Urban SUV
Bentley Motors announced an extension of its Beyond100 business strategy to 2035, now called Beyond100+. Bentley confirmed its first fully electric car, launching in 2026, will create an entirely new segment: the world’s first Luxury Urban SUV. Designed and produced at its Crewe headquarters, this model marks the start of a new PHEV or BEV model every year over the next decade, with the goal of producing only fully electric cars by 2035.
Already a leader in the luxury hybrid car sector, Bentley will extend the lifecycle of its PHEV models beyond 2030 to 2035. The Continental GT, Convertible, and Flying Spur are now exclusively offered with an Ultra Performance plug-in V8 hybrid, following the discontinuation of the W12 engine after over 20 years of production.
Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, said:
“Beyond100+ extends our transformative ambitions beyond 2030, maintaining our aim of a decarbonised future and reinforcing Bentley’s legacy as the British creator of extraordinary cars.”
Beyond100+ includes a major reinvention of the Crewe manufacturing infrastructure, securing Bentley’s future for the next generation of products and colleagues. Bentley has already made significant strides, creating a certified carbon neutral facility, and is now building a ‘Dream Factory’ for its electric future.
