Bentley introduces ‘Ombre by Mulliner’ for the ultimate paint finish

Bentley Motors today reveals Ombre by Mulliner, one of its most complex paint offerings to date. Painted by hand at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, the finish transitions seamlessly between two colours over the length of the car, creating a striking fade effect now available in three curated combinations.

The Ombre process takes two paint technicians around 56 hours to complete. Contrast colours are applied to the front and rear, with the blend built up in stages using traditional paint mixing methods. Each colour behaves differently on application, requiring constant adjustment — ensuring every car is unique yet visually flawless.

The first commission to feature Ombre is a Continental GT Speed, revealed at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. Its exterior fades from Topaz at the front to Windsor Blue at the rear, with the gradient following the rear haunch line. The 22” ten-spoke wheels mirror this effect, matching the surrounding body panels.

Inside, Mulliner’s Bespoke Studio extends the same graded theme, with Topaz hides in the front blending into Beluga at the rear, highlighted by Dragonfly accents. Satin Beluga veneers complement the design, alongside Bentley’s Rotating Display, the Naim for Bentley audio system and the Dark Chrome Interior Specification.

The Ombre by Mulliner paint finish is now available to order through the Bentley global retailer network.
